Dr. Anthony Ryan is an intensive care specialist at Mater Hospital Brisbane with expertise in medical research, critical care and medical education. He holds a PhD in medical research, along with fellowships in pre-hospital medicine and simulation-based education. He established the Mater 'SIMtensive Care' program, focusing on performance under pressure in the ICU. He coordinates the Mater BASIC course and is an adjunct senior lecturer at the University of Notre Dame and the Uiversity of Queensland. Passionate about mentoring future intensivists, he aims to integrate simulation-based learning, pre-hospital insights and performance psychology into training human performance factors.
